general information

We are grateful, as always, to all our backers and volunteers who help in putting on this celebration weekend. Our festival brings much needed funds to our small rural community. Please do your bit by paying for your ticket and camping; buying local; giving generously to our raffle and donations collectors; and perusing our new merchandise in the Festival shop.

The village has a grocery store; a cafe; an Italian restaurant; a launderette; and a garage. There are 2 pubs where there will be free sessions taking place all weekend.

Please note there are no ATM facilities in the village. You can use cards when paying for things, but it is advisable to bring cash also.

Thank you for coming to the Festival; we hope you enjoy yourselves and we look forward to welcoming you all again next year.

Friday 10th - Sunday 12th May 2019.

Moniaive nestles in stunning countryside where the three glens of Craigdarroch, Dalwhat and Castlefairn meet.

Festival Camping is available right by the venues. Please be aware that our festival is set in the heart of the village so please do be considerate to our our hard working locals. The camping field is a working farm field so please obey the following rules:

  • The building of fires is prohibited.

  • Please dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided and leave your pitch clear.

  • No amplified or loud music on the campsite.

  • All dogs must be on leads and cleaned up after.

We would be grateful if you would avoid parking and sleeping in camper vans in either the village car park or streets – we do receive complaints from village residents about this, and their support is crucial to the future of our festival.

Our camp site is supervised and we have a free friendly tractor tow on hand on Sunday if you get stuck.

The campsite will be open from noon on Thursday 10th May until noon on Monday 14th May. Access to the site is via a lane next to the primary school. Please keep this lane clear as it is used by school buses and be aware that the area is busy, especially when school finishes at 3:15 pm.

You will need to show your printed ticket or wristband to access the camp site so make sure you visit the festival shop before setting up.

Local Accommodation

Please visit the Moniaive Village Website for a list of local accommodation including hotels, bed and breakfast and self catering.

Not to the campsite or marquee. We want our festival to get better every year. For that to happen we need you to pay a fair price. Please note that entry to the campsite will not be permitted without a valid ticket - no exceptions. Please buy your tickets in advance or get them when you arrive in the village.
