Festival Workshop & PArade

Parade making workshop for all the family; fun and creative recycling in the marquee from 2 - 4 pm. Followed by the Festival parade at 4pm. This year's theme is Forest Animals Disco - bring your bushiest tails and funkiest frocks!

Firmly established (since 1987), Clydebuilt is a leading Scottish Puppet Theatre Company. The company tour throughout the UK and Europe. Clydebuilt have also toured to the Middle East and visited China.


The Little Fawn is a wonderful, travelling puppet theatre: a 1950's Cheltenham Fawn caravan is magically transformed into a unique performance space for children and their families.


Step This Way Appalachian Cloggers, with their musicians the Bones Creek Band, are based in County Durham. The group performs the dances and tunes of the Appalachian Mountains in the USA. Their workshops invite participants to learn basic steps and a simple dance routine. Hard soled shoes or taps are needed.

margaret morris movement

Two workshops delivered on Sunday 13th May. The adult session will explore aspects of 'Skye Boat Song' the dance Margaret Morris choreographed for the Celtic Ballet and which she took to America in 1954 for Jacob's Pillow Festival. "Forest Adventure"- An early years creative movement session exploring the flora, fauna and magic of the forest. Bring your imagination to the movement story as it unfolds; sing, dance, mime and play. ages 4-7.
